The Great Lakes Aquarium is a 62,000-square-foot aquarium featuring animals and habitats found within the Great Lakes basin and other worldwide ecosystems. The aquarium houses over 1,500 animals, including fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Some of the main exhibits include the Isle Royale, Baptism River, Saint Louis River, Otter Cove, Amazing Amazon, and Unsalted Seas. The aquarium also offers interactive exhibits and a variety of programs for young learners, such as Whirligigs and Nature Play. Visitors can also see river otters, a variety of regional birds, freshwater fish from Lake Superior and the Amazon River, and seahorses.
