Heritage Museums & Gardens is a 100-acre public garden featuring a nationally significant collection of rhododendrons, daylilies, and hostas. The gardens are complemented by three gallery buildings containing a world-class collection of American automobiles, American folk art, and a working 1919 carousel. Visitors can explore the beautiful display of blooms throughout May into mid-June, and enjoy the North American Hydrangea Test Garden, the McInnes Garden, and the Garden of the Senses. The grounds also include a labyrinth, a maze garden, and a Certified Outdoor Nature Classroom for children and families. The museum showcases a 1908 Charles Looff Carousel, and a collection of American automobiles, including a 1909 White Motor Company Steam Car used by President William Howard Taft
