Buzzard’s Bay Discovery Center

The Buzzards Bay Discovery Center, located in New Bedford, is a great place for families to learn about the local waters and environment. The Richard C. Wheeler Bay Learning Center, located inside the Buzzards Bay Center, features a large, colorful 3-D map of Buzzards Bay, allowing visitors to learn about the Bay's ecosystem and how to protect it. The center also offers interactive exhibits and a community meeting space. Outside, the 'Habitat' sculptures depict eelgrass, an essential underwater plant.
