The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a 17-acre linear park located in several Downtown Boston neighborhoods, consisting of landscaped gardens, promenades, plazas, fountains, art, and specialty lighting systems. The park provides a space for humans to play and relax, with almost 900 trees lining its boulevard, and is home to hundreds of special events, festivals, and celebrations throughout the year. Families can enjoy the Greenway Carousel, interactive art pieces, and play equipment, as well as stroll through the Carolyn Lynch Garden and visit the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center. The park is also a great place for a picnic or a walk, with plenty of greenery and seating areas
