Federal Hill

Federal Hill is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, that lies just to the south of the city's central business district. The neighborhood is named for the prominent hill that is easily viewed from the Inner Harbor area, to which the neighborhood forms the physical south boundary. The hillside is a lush green and serves as a community park. Federal Hill is characterized by historic brick row homes and numerous locally-owned shops and restaurants. It's home to both newcomers and families that have lived here for generations. Its charm combines 19th century history with beautiful architecture and ample entertainment. The neighborhood is a popular destination for tavern goers and music lovers, with street festivals several times a year. Families can enjoy the spectacular view of downtown while casually strolling through Federal Hill Park or another one of the area's green spaces. The American Visionary Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Industry are must-see attractions. The neighborhood also hosts various events, including the Annual Jazz & Blues Festival, Kinetic Sculpture Race, and Flicks From the Hill, a free outdoor movie series
