What to expect

Eagle Lake is the largest waterbody wholly within Acadia National Park. The lake is a great spot to look for birds and other wildlife, and offers panoramic views of the changing colors in autumn. Visitors can paddle the lake, but swimming, paddleboarding, and oarboarding are not allowed as the lake provides drinking water for Bar Harbor. Loons, ducks, and other waterfowl can be seen feeding on the lake or nesting at the edges
