The mansion is part of the Old Prairie Town at Ward-Meade Historic Site, which features a replica of the 1854 Log Cabin where pioneer and wheelwright Anthony Ward raised his family. The site also includes the 2.5-acre Ward-Meade Botanical Garden with meandering paths, distinct garden areas, and a variety of plants and flowers. Visitors can explore the historic town, which includes a one-room schoolhouse, a general store, a drug store, and a church. The mansion itself has been restored and features two parlors, a dining room, and bedrooms. The site is a great place for families to learn about history and enjoy the beautiful gardens
