Ward-Meade Mansion

The Ward-Meade Mansion is a historic house that was constructed between 1870 and 1874. The mansion is part of the Old Prairie Town at Ward-Meade Historic Site, which features a replica of the 1854 Log Cabin where pioneer and wheelwright Anthony Ward raised his family. The site also includes the 2.5-acre Ward-Meade Botanical Garden with meandering paths, distinct garden areas, and a variety of plants and flowers. Visitors can explore the historic town, which includes a one-room schoolhouse, a general store, a drug store, and a church.
