Old Prairie Town at Ward-Meade Historic Site is a 6-acre historic site that includes the Ward-Meade Botanical Garden, preserving the family history of one of the earliest settlers in the area. The site features a replica of an 1854 log cabin, a mansion, a schoolhouse, a church, a general store, and a train station, all from the 1800s. The 2.5-acre Ward-Meade Botanical Garden has meandering paths, distinct garden areas, including national display gardens for hostas and daylilies, and a national conifer reference garden. Visitors can stroll through the gardens, explore the historic buildings, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The site also offers rental options for weddings and events, and hosts a Garden Glow event in the autumn
