Pokā Bay Beach Park

Beach Waianae, Hawaii, United States

What to expect

Pōkaʻī Beach Park, also known as Poka'i Bay Beach Park, is a 15-acre beach park located on the leeward coast of Oʻahu. It is the most protected bay on the west shore, making it perfect for families, swimmers, and beginning surfers. The beach is calm and clear, with a wide reef in the middle of the bay that provides good conditions for surfing. The park is also home to an ancient Hawaiian temple site, Ku'ilioloa Heiau, which is located on a nearby peninsula. The beach is named after the famous coconut grove that once grew in its backshore, Ka Uluniu o Pōkaʻī. The area is also popular for fishing and snorkeling
