What to expect

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is a museum dedicated to the achievements of the civil rights movement in the United States and the broader worldwide human rights movement. The center features interactive exhibits, including a virtual tour, and hosts a number of exhibitions that tell the history of the civil rights movement and contemporary human rights struggles around the world. Visitors can explore the center's three main exhibits: civil rights, human rights, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Collection from Morehouse College. The center also offers an oral history booth where guests can share their own stories of civil and human rights. The ambiance of each room is designed to represent different periods of history, with dimly lit rooms representing dark periods and bright rooms representing more hopeful moments
