What to expect
The Alcazar Hotel, now home to the Lightner Museum, is a historic building that was once a luxurious resort hotel. It features a Spanish Renaissance Revival style architecture and was built in 1887 by Henry Flagler. The hotel had a steam room, massage parlor, sulfur baths, gymnasium, a three-story ballroom, and the world's largest indoor swimming pool. Today, the building houses the Lightner Museum, which showcases a collection of antiques, including Victorian era art, and features a music room with mechanized musical instruments, a Victorian village, and a ballroom with oil paintings and sculptures. The museum also has a cafe and offers a unique view of the former swimming pool, which is now a drained area hosting the Cafe Alcazar
