Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a 45-acre botanical garden located in Sarasota, Florida. The gardens feature a variety of plant species, including epiphytes, orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. The gardens are composed of two campuses: the Downtown Sarasota campus and the Historic Spanish Point campus. The Downtown Sarasota campus is the only botanical garden in the world dedicated to the display and study of epiphytic orchids, bromeliads, gesneriads, and ferns, and other tropical plants. The Historic Spanish Point campus is one of the largest preserves showcasing native Florida plants and celebrates an archaeological record that encompasses approximately 5,000 years of Florida history. The gardens also feature a Museum of Botany and the Arts, a research library, and an interactive children's garden.
