What to expect

The Shark Valley Visitor Center is located in the heart of Everglades National Park, about an hour's drive west of Downtown Miami. The center introduces visitors to a world of outdoor adventure, with opportunities to see wildlife like alligators, herons, egrets, Key deer, turtles, and snail kites. Visitors can take a two-hour guided tram tour, rent bikes, or hike on one of the three trails near the center, including the Tram Road Trail, Bobcat Boardwalk Trail, and Otter Cave Hammock Trail. The center also features educational exhibits, a gift store, and a short film about Shark Valley. The Shark Valley Observation Tower, located halfway around the loop road, provides panoramic views of the sawgrass marsh. The area is suitable for walking, hiking, biking, bird watching, and wildlife viewing, making it a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families
