The Seven Mile Bridge is a famous bridge in the Florida Keys, connecting the Middle Keys to the Lower Keys. It is part of the Overseas Highway and is one of the longest bridges in existence when it was built. The modern bridge, completed in 1982, is open to vehicular traffic, while the older bridge, constructed from 1909 to 1912, is now only open to pedestrians and cyclists. The older bridge was originally part of Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railway's Key West Extension and has been restored and repurposed as a fishing pier and walking route. The bridge offers stunning views of the surrounding waters and is a popular spot for fishing and outdoor activities
