What to expect

Aquarium Encounters is a great place for families to visit, with a variety of interactive exhibits and activities. Visitors can feed and interact with adult nurse sharks, assist a marine biologist in a shark training session, and immerse themselves in the stingray tank. The aquarium also features a coral reef tank where visitors can snorkel or dive and hand feed stingrays, fish, and even sharks. The facility is handicap accessible and offers a unique Eagle Ray Cafe serving beer, wine, and daily specials. The aquarium also has a tide pool touch tank where visitors can touch and learn about various marine animals, including starfish, urchins, and horseshoe crabs
