Clarence S. Higgs Memorial Beach Park is a 16.5-acre oceanfront park located in Key West, Florida. The park features a 400-foot pier, a beachside café, a Civil War Era Fort, and an African Refugee Memorial and burial site. Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, beach volleyball, tennis, pickleball, and a children's playground. The park also hosts the only shore-accessible underwater marine park in the United States and is the end of the Florida Overseas Heritage Trail. Additionally, the park has a large dog park with separate runs for small and large dogs, and a beach concessionaire offers beach items for rent. The Key West Garden Club offers free self-guided tours of the beautiful gardens at Fort West Martello. The park is also home to an AIDS memorial and has undergone renovations to increase green space and beach area, while decreasing paved areas
