Fort Jefferson

Fort Jefferson, located in the Dry Tortugas National Park, is a 19th-century fort situated almost 70 miles west of Key West, Florida. The fort is the largest masonry structure in the western hemisphere, composed of over 16 million bricks, and was originally conceived to protect the Florida coastline.
