John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is a unique park that offers an amazing glimpse into the underwater world. It encompasses approximately 70 nautical square miles of coral reefs and associated marine life. Visitors can view the reef from a glass-bottom boat tour, or get a closer look by scuba diving or snorkeling. The park also offers canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, swimming, and wildlife viewing. The visitor center features a 30,000-gallon saltwater aquarium and nature videos. The park has full-facility and youth/group campsites, and a picnic area with grills. It is a great place for families, with kid-friendly activities such as snorkeling and swimming, and amenities like beach wheelchairs available without cost
