Crandon Park

Park Key Biscayne, Florida, United States

What to expect

Crandon Park is a large county park complex that offers something for everyone, including beaches, hiking and biking trails, a tennis center, golf course, and marina. The park is home to various ecosystems, including dunes, mangroves, and coastal hammock and seagrass beds, and is a nesting and feeding ground for migrating songbirds, hawks, and sea turtles. The park's two-mile beach is consistently named among the top ten beaches in the nation and offers pristine sand, calm water, and a winding promenade. The park also features a designated natural Environment Study Area, the Bear Cut Preserve, which serves as a window to the wilderness that was once South Florida. The park has a variety of facilities, including a marina, a golf course, the Tennis Center at Crandon Park, a family amusement center, picnic shelters, and a nature center. The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center is also located at the north end of the park, featuring natural history exhibits, demonstration lab classroom facilities, an audio-visual presentation room, and a gift shop
