What to expect

The Space Shuttle Atlantis is a retired Space Shuttle orbiter vehicle on display at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. The shuttle is displayed as only astronauts have seen it in space, rotated 43.21 degrees with payload doors open and Canadarm extended, as if just undocked from the International Space Station. The exhibit showcases the orbiter spacecraft and tells the story of NASA's 30-year Space Shuttle Program. The attraction is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator available. Visitors can allow 45 minutes for shows and viewing of Atlantis. The complex also features other attractions, such as the Constellation Sphere, interactive touch screens, and a re-entry slide. The place is family-friendly, with kid-friendly activities and accessibility features
