What to expect

Mahogany Hammock Trail is a 0.4-mile loop trail located in the Everglades National Park, Florida. The trail is a tropical oasis in the Everglades river of grass, featuring tree islands with a variety of flora, including mahogany trees, paurotis palms, and strangler figs. The trail is accessible and suitable for families with small children, but caution is advised due to the presence of poison ivy. The trail is also a great spot for stargazing, particularly for spotting the Space Station. The loop is a boardwalk, making it easy to navigate and enjoy the surroundings without getting lost. Wildlife can be spotted, and the trail offers a unique jungle-like experience despite the damage caused by hurricanes in 2005
