The lighthouse was originally built in 1833 and has been reconstructed several times, with the current version being rebuilt in 2008 using many of the original materials. The lighthouse stands 77 feet tall and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The adjacent Keeper's House Museum features exhibits on the history of the lighthouse, its keepers, and the maritime culture of the area. A gift shop is also available. The lighthouse is a great place to visit with family and friends, offering a unique glimpse into the region's rich history
