The others are Holmes Beach in the center and Bradenton Beach in the south. The island has a laid-back atmosphere, with flip flops being a way of life and the speed limit never exceeding 35mph. There are no high-rise condos or fast food restaurants on the island, preserving its 'old' Florida charm.
