Anna Maria is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. The city occupies the northern part of Anna Maria Island and is one of three municipalities on the island. The others are Holmes Beach in the center and Bradenton Beach in the south. The island has a laid-back atmosphere, with flip flops being a way of life and the speed limit never exceeding 35mph. There are no high-rise condos or fast food restaurants on the island, preserving its 'old' Florida charm.
