Staunton State Park

Staunton State Park is a diverse landscape with grassy meadows, rocky foothills, granite cliffs, and streams, offering various outdoor activities. The park has a mix of grasslands, foothills, cliffs, and streams, creating a varied landscape with an elevation gradient of over 2,000 feet. It is home to many different plant and animal communities, including deer, elk, bears, mountain lions, coyotes, and bobcats. The park features rugged rock outcroppings, lush grassy meadows, rolling hillsides forested with conifers and aspens, and a dramatic waterfall. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, and picnicking, with 37 miles of trails, 25 campsites, and 25 picnic sites available
