What to expect

The Castle Trail is a 3.9-mile multi-use trail located in Mount Falcon Park near Morrison, Colorado. The trail is popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners, and offers scenic views of Red Rocks Park and the surrounding areas. The trail starts out on a wide, hard-packed path and then transitions to a more primitive track with some rocky sections. There are several junctions with other trails, including the Turkey Trot trail, and a picnic shelter along the way. The trail is considered strenuous and has an elevation gain of over 1,700 feet. The park also features historic sites, including the ruins of John Brisben Walker's castle and a wooden tower with great views. The trail is suitable for families and offers a great way to explore the beautiful scenery of Mount Falcon Park
