Pinkerton Hot Springs is a natural hot spring located in Mancos, Colorado. The spring's water is heated by geologic forces and is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. The minerals have built up over time, creating a colorful travertine mound with hues of orange, red, green, yellow, and black. Visitors can soak in the warm waters, which are believed to have therapeutic benefits. The spring has a history dating back to the 1800s when it was discovered by James Pinkerton, who built a resort and bathhouse on the site. Today, the spring is a popular roadside attraction and a great spot for families to relax and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and forests
