Mount Blue Sky, formerly known as Mount Evans, is a mountain with a scenic byway that climbs over 7,000 feet in 28 miles, reaching an altitude of 14,130 feet. The byway offers stunning views of the Continental Divide, mountain goat and bighorn sheep herds, marmots, birds, and alpine wildflowers, as well as the Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine trees. Visitors can take a short walk to the top of the mountain, explore the Mount Blue Sky Recreation Area, and enjoy scenic views of distant mountain peaks, alpine lakes, and glacier valleys. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including pikas, marmots, and bighorn sheep, and features a unique alpine environment with hardy wildflowers, lichens, and grasses
