The Triceratops Trail is a 1.4-km to 1.5-mile out-and-back trail that is generally considered an easy route. The trail winds between large, vertical walls of sandstone and into reclaimed clay pits, featuring several interpretive stops highlighting the geology, clay mining, and dinosaur tracks. The site is famous for its dinosaur tracks, including a large three-toed Tyrannosaur track and several four-toed Triceratops tracks, as well as palm frond and other leaf and plant impressions. The trail is suitable for families with kids, with educational signs and a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to learn and have fun. Nearby, the Dinosaur Ridge area offers additional opportunities to explore dinosaur discoveries and fossils, and the Discovery Park features a dinosaur-themed playground with climbing elements and a sand pit filled with dinosaur bones
