Bear Creek Trail is a popular hiking trail located in Evergreen, Colorado. The trail offers a moderately challenging 7.6-mile loop with an elevation gain of 1,338 feet. It's a great place for hiking and mountain biking, with scenic views and access to Bear Creek. The trail is suitable for families and dogs are allowed on a leash. There are also picnic areas and opportunities for birdwatching and fishing. Lair o' the Bear Park, which is part of the trail, is a favorite among families due to its abundance of picnic tables and proximity to Bear Creek. The park is also home to a bike-only, directional trail called Rutabaga Ride

Activities: We hiked the Bear Creek Trail to Dunafon Castle, a beautiful and easy hike near Denver perfect for kids
Highlights: The creek even has a point at which you have to cross its shallow waters. Rocks are laid out to keep you dry as you cross. This was definitely my kids’ favorite part and we stayed at the creek crossing for a while as they went back and forth over the water ✨
