The park encompasses 265,461 acres of federal land and features over 100 peaks rising above 11,000 feet in altitude, including Longs Peak at 14,259 feet. The park's vistas are accessible by horseback, on foot, or by car, with the most notable vehicle route being Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuously paved highway in North America. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including chipmunks, mule deer, and elk, and offers many outdoor activities such as hiking, with over 300 miles of trails, and wildlife viewing. The park's unique and varied landscapes offer something fun for everyone, making it a great place to visit with family and friends
