The Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum is a great place for families to visit, with a vast collection of aircraft and interactive exhibits. The museum showcases the history of Lowry Air Force Base and Colorado's aerospace history, with over 50 aircraft on display, including a Beechcraft UC-45 Expeditor, a Boeing GB-52B Stratofortress, and a Lockheed F-104C Starfighter. The museum also features exhibits on the history of avionics, the Cold War, and the Colorado Air National Guard. Additionally, the museum offers a variety of interactive exhibits and activities, such as a 360° full-motion flight simulator and a collection of aircraft engines. The museum also has a second location, Exploration of Flight, which offers future-focused aviation and space galleries and exhibits, as well as a program for students in grades 6-12 to explore the wonders of flight and gain valuable skills for future careers in aerospace
