The Denver Art Museum is an art museum with an encyclopedic collection of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world. It is known for its collection of American Indian art, as well as The Petrie Institute of Western American Art. The museum's Martin Building was designed by famed Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1971. All visitors 18 and under enjoy free general admission to the museum every day. The museum also features a family-friendly dining option, The Ponti, which offers a locally-sourced and seasonally-inspired menu. The museum's campus has undergone a transformational renovation project to unify the campus and revitalize Ponti's original structure, including the creation of new exhibition spaces and a new welcome center
