Lake Irwin

Lake Irwin is a picturesque lake located in the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest, approximately 9 miles from Crested Butte, Colorado. The lake offers abundant trail opportunities, fishing, and beautiful scenery. The surrounding area is home to vivid wildflowers during July and August, and the lake is usually full of fish. The charming town of Crested Butte is nearby, offering outdoor activities, dining, and shopping options. The lake is also a source of domestic drinking water supply and in-stream flows in Coal Creek. A campground is situated on the western banks of the lake, providing several single-family campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings
