The charming town of Crested Butte is nearby, offering outdoor activities, dining, and shopping options. The lake is also a source of domestic drinking water supply and in-stream flows in Coal Creek. A campground is situated on the western banks of the lake, providing several single-family campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings
