The Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is a living history museum that showcases the lifestyles and homes of the Pikes Peak Region's early inhabitants. Visitors can explore the lifestyles of the Ute and Plains Indians, learn about the challenges of homesteading in the late 1860s, and experience the operation of a working farm in the late 19th century. The site features several historic structures, including an American Indian Area, an 1860s homestead cabin, an 1880s homestead garden, the 1874 Rock Ledge House, an 1890s blacksmith shop, and a 1907 Edwardian Country Estate. Historical interpreters dressed in period-appropriate attire guide visitors through the site, demonstrating daily living skills and encouraging participation. The site is home to a working 19th-century blacksmith shop, barn, horses, and chickens, and hosts over 100,000 visitors annually
