Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a scenic area with canyons and ridges sculpted by erosion, offering great views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. The open space has various trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as off-leash dog areas and a free-ride bike park. Rock climbing is also available with a permit. The area is home to a wide variety of plant and animal communities and has a rich history, with evidence of human use dating back to 7000 B.C. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery, recreational activities, and educational opportunities, while also respecting the environment and wildlife by following the Leave No Trace Seven Principles
