What to expect

North Cheyenne Cañon Park is a 1,600-acre park located on the southwest side of Colorado Springs. The park features a unique landscape with a 1,000-feet deep canyon cut into 1.5 billion-year-old granite rock. It provides a habitat for various wildlife, including Black Bears, Mountain Lions, and Mule Deer, as well as birds like the Kingfisher, American Dipper, and Broad-tailed Hummingbird. The park offers an extensive trail system for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, with over 56 miles of trails. Visitors can also enjoy picnic areas, scenic drives, and access to Gold Camp Road. The park is home to several notable attractions, including Helen Hunt Falls, Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center, and the White Fir Botanical Reserve
