What to expect

The Lower Columbine Trail is a 2.2-mile out-and-back trail located in North Cheyenne Cañon Park, near Colorado Springs. It's a popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, with beautiful views of Cheyenne Cañon and the surrounding area. The trail is mostly gravel and is considered an easy route, making it suitable for families with children. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. The trail can be accessed from three different trailheads: lower, middle, and upper. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including Black Bear, Mountain Lion, and Mule Deer, as well as birds such as the Kingfisher, American Dipper, and Broad-tailed Hummingbird
