What to expect

The Paint Mines Interpretive Park is a unique open space with colorful clays and geological formations, including spires and hoodoos. The park features four miles of trails, interpretive signage, and many natural wonders. It has a great historical significance, with evidence of human habitation dating back 9,000 years. The park is home to various flora and fauna, including Indian Paintbrush, Buffalo grass, horned toads, antelope, coyotes, and hawks. Visitors can enjoy hiking and exploring the park's unique landscape, but are asked to respect the fragile environment and not climb rocks or remove any artifacts or rocks
