The Boulder Reservoir is a 700-acre, multi-use recreation and water-storage facility. It offers various activities such as boating, swimming, sunbathing, water skiing, fishing, picnicking, walking, running, cycling, and wildlife viewing. The reservoir has a designated swim area with rafts, which is the only location where swimming is permitted, except for lifeguarded open water swims and triathlons. The swim area is staffed by American Red Cross waterfront certified lifeguards during designated swimming hours. There are restrooms, lockers, shower and changing facilities located on the south side of the Visitor Services Center. Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times, and children under 5 and/or non-swimming children must have an adult within arms reach at all times
