Yosemite Falls is a waterfall located in Yosemite National Park, California. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in the United States, with a total height of 2,425 feet. The waterfall is made up of three separate falls: Upper Yosemite Fall, the middle cascades, and Lower Yosemite Fall. The falls are fed by snowmelt from Yosemite Creek and typically run dry by late summer. Visitors can access the base of the waterfall via a 1-mile loop trail, and the top of the falls can be reached via a strenuous 7.2-mile round-trip hike. The area around the falls is also home to a variety of natural phenomena, including a moonbow that appears in the spring and frazil ice that forms in the early spring. The falls are accessible, with an accessible trail to the base and wheelchair-accessible restrooms and picnic tables. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, and visitors are advised to keep their food within arm's reach and not feed the wildlife
