Crane Flat Lookout is a pleasant forest and meadow area in Yosemite National Park, California. The area features the Crane Flat Snow Play Area, which is a great place for families to sled and play in the snow. The lookout itself is a two-story structure with a lower storage or garage level and an upper observation level, built in 1931 in the National Park Service Rustic style. It was designed to blend with its surroundings and is one of only four similar structures in California. The lookout is also a historic place, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is an example of the National Park Service's rustic architecture
