Columbia Rock Trail

Columbia Rock is a viewpoint about a third of the way up the Upper Yosemite Falls trail, offering 180-degree views along Yosemite Valley from Half Dome in the east to Cathedral Spires in the west. The trail to Columbia Rock is a medium-difficulty hike, with over three dozen switchbacks, and is hotter than other trails in the area due to its south-facing slope. The views from Columbia Rock are good year-round, but hazy days may affect the quality of the views.
