Calico Ghost Town is a former mining town that was founded in 1881 and abandoned in the mid-1890s after silver lost its value. The town has been restored to look as it did in the 1880s and features shops, restaurants, and attractions. Visitors can explore the town's history and take part in activities such as camping, hiking, and off-roading. The town also offers cabins and bunkhouses for rent, and guests who camp or rent accommodations receive free admission into the town. However, due to the historic nature of the town, not all areas are ADA accessible, and visitors are cautioned that mines in the area are extremely hazardous and should not be approached
