Alamo Square

Park San Francisco, California, United States

What to expect

Alamo Square is a hilltop park with views overlooking downtown San Francisco and the famous Painted Ladies. The park features a full tennis court, walking trails, benches, flower beds, and a dual-level kids' play area with six swings, three slides, and a pair of climbing structures. The upper level is for older kids, while the lower level is for younger ones. Dogs are permitted in the park, but they must remain on-leash on the eastern side. There's also a dog play area on the western side where dogs can run off-leash. The park has public wifi, making it a great place to work or study on a sunny day. Visitors can enjoy the abundant lawns, willows, and scenic views, and it's a popular spot for families and dog owners. However, visitors are advised to be mindful of their belongings and keep valuables with them, as the park can be a target for thieves
