Wilbur’s Watch Trail

Hiking trail Pescadero, California, United States

What to expect

Wilbur's Watch is a great trail for a family hike, with a 2-mile out-and-back route that takes about 1 hour to complete. The trail is considered easy and offers beautiful views of the ocean and Pigeon Point Lighthouse. The trailhead is located on Pigeon Point Road and the trail leads uphill through grassland and native coastal scrub to a breathtaking lookout. There are several switchbacks to ease the grade, and the trail is open year-round. The lookout has benches to rest on and a telescope to take in the views of the coastline. The trail is also a great place to see wildflowers in the spring months, including purple iris, purple-blue blue-eyed grass, and orange California poppy
