Crescent Bay Beach is a picturesque and popular beach in northern Laguna Beach, California. The beach is a sandy stretch with rocky areas at the north and south ends, and is about one-quarter mile long. It has high cliffs on both ends and is bordered by towering cliffs, pitted with caves. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, body surfing, bodyboarding, skimboarding, and tide pooling. However, the surf at Crescent Bay is a strong shorebreak and there are numerous rip currents that can be present, making it a dangerous place to enter the water. The beach is also a popular spot for whale watching, and Seal Rock, located offshore, is home to seals, sea lions, and birds. Dogs are allowed on the beach, but must be on a leash that is 6’ or shorter, at all times, with some restrictions during peak season
