What to expect

Roaring Camp Railroads is a 3 ft narrow-gauge tourist railroad that runs from the Roaring Camp depot in Felton, California, through redwood forests to the top of nearby Bear Mountain. The railroad features steam locomotives, some of which date back to the 1890s, and offers a scenic ride with conductors narrating the history of the area. The railroad also passes through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and crosses a 1909 steel truss bridge and an 1875 tunnel. Visitors can enjoy a ride on the train, which is one of the oldest and most authentically preserved narrow-gauge steam engines providing regularly scheduled passenger service in America
