What to expect

Boyden Cavern is a guided, 50-minute walking tour through this cavern, located below the towering 2,000 foot marble walls of the Kings Gates. A short but very steep trail leads to the cave, traveling under and around rock formations. The cavern is 55°F (~12.5°C) year-round inside and has some tight areas, making it an uncomfortable environment for some people. The tour has some challenging parts, including ducking, stooping, turning sideways, walking on loose rocks, walking up and down stairs and slopes, and navigating slippery areas. The cavern is not wheelchair accessible and has some restrictions on what can be brought inside, including tripods, monopods, walking sticks, bags, food, and drink. Service dogs are allowed, but Emotional Support Animals are not. The cavern offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages
