Coronado Beach

Coronado Beach is a family-friendly destination located in Coronado, California. The beach runs for nearly two miles and offers swimming, beach volleyball, firepits, a designated Dog Beach, and glorious sunsets. The beach is also known for its unique feature of having the mineral mica in its sand, which gives it a golden sparkle. The beach is bordered by the United States' Naval Base beaches and has several amenities, including lifeguards, beach wheelchairs, and picnic benches. The city also has 12 parks, including Spreckels Park, which hosts the Coronado Flower Show in spring and the Concerts in the Park series in summer. Centennial Park offers a breathtaking view of the San Diego skyline and is one of the most-photographed vistas in San Diego. The beach is also a great spot for dolphin watching and bioluminescence viewing at night
