The park is also home to the Santa Rosa Creek Natural Preserve, the San Simeon Natural Preserve, and the Pa-nu Cultural Preserve, which provide habitat for endangered species and offer opportunities for nature exploration. Families can also visit the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery, where they can view northern elephant seals from a safe distance, and participate in the Junior Ranger Program, which offers interactive and educational activities for kids
